My Baby boy is...

Officially NOT a baby anymore....

The difference in Ages between my Oldest Son and My Daughter is 8 years. That is a long time. So when My daughter at the age of 3 began asking for a baby to bring home, I was more than happy to oblige =)

However, apparently having a baby in your 20's is not the same as trying to have one in your 30's. So, after many attempts, and I won't bore you with all the details, I finally succeeded. At which point she was almost 6 and my son well, he was 13 and ready for High school. Everyone was very excited to welcome this baby home and he was the sweetest little thing. (he still is)

This is the day he turned 6 years old.

Graduation Day...

It's amazing how quickly time goes by.......it seems like yesterday that I graduated but time has elapsed.

I am extremely proud of My achievement. I never thought I could do it. You see I never had much for stability in Life, but the way I figure it is.....It's Never to late =)

I made the decision to become a Professional Photographer and enrolled at Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts.

I graduated as a Certified Professional Photographer.

Here is a Photo of the whole class....

The Road Less Traveled......

Why is it that we seem to always want to do what everyone else does? Does anyone ever take the road less traveled? What exactly does that mean anyway...that we allow ourselves to be different? I believe that The Road Less Traveled is risky and that is precisely why it is Less Traveled. I asked a friend of Mine to write a little piece on the Roads we choose in Life and here it is below;

As we go through life we encounter many roads - both literally and figuratively. Each road takes us to a different place. True roads will take us to the mall, a new city, church. Life roads will take us to new experiences, the next steps in our life adventures.

It's the "life roads" that leave the most impact. They are the ones we stand before and really have to think about whether or not we want to go down those roads. Never knowing what the road will lead to, never knowing who or what we will encounter. Sometimes the life roads we take end up being dead ends or too rough to walk down. Sometimes though ..

Sometimes the life roads take us to better places. They enrichen our lives and show us new, wonderful experiences. Allow us to meet fantastic people and leave not so good ones behind. When we're on a good road. A level road. A road swathed in rich, green, beautiful trees. A quiet road with little distractions..the end not visible, but the way there clear. Those are the roads that put a serene smile on our faces. The ones that make us feel good, feel loved, feel blessed.

Such a moment captured below. By a camera skillfully yielded. Art. Life. True bliss.

The Man I Love......

𝄞When the mellow moon begins to beam,
Ev'ry night I dream a little dream;
And of course Prince Charming is the theme:
The he
For me.
Although I realize as well as you
It is seldom that a dream comes true,
To me it's clear
That he'll appear.

Some day he'll come along,
The man I love;
And he'll be big and strong,
The man I love;
And when he comes my way,
I'll do my best to make him stay.𝄞
The Man I Love.... is not a dream. He is a Reality in my Life, and he came along Quite some time ago.

He's not perfect...(far from it & neither am I) But I Love HIM...More than words can say. Oh and he is definitely Big and Strong. =)

My Husband and I have been able to spend extra time together in these past few months and I am so grateful for that closeness that the Lord has Provided.

Because Tomorrow is never Promised.....Today we should LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH and appreciate what we have.

Happy Birthday Luis.......

I can remember the day he was born like it was yesterday. I am so grateful that through photography I can always go through our photo albums and enjoy the memories of those moments we shared....

He says.......I don't do him any justice in this image.
He was about 16. I think at the time, it really brought out his personality. As you can see he wasn't all that happy about modeling for me. Teenagers aren't all that happy in general ;) I think he looks just as handsome as he always is. (I may be biased though)

Time has Passed and today he is 19......
I was lucky enough to spend some quality time with him last week. I grabbed my camera and reluctantly he posed, this time with a smile....I didn't get as many images as I liked, we were interrupted and then time ran out. I am grateful even for these few, as he lives far away and I can't see him all that much. I did however enjoy our time together very much :)
I would like him to know that I Love him dearly and Wish him a Very Happy Birthday.

The Milford Upper Charles

Yeay!!! I did it!!!! I finally walked the Milford Upper Charles Trail again......just like I used to....

I walked the trail with a friend almost daily. (never on the weekends ;) We would walk for approximately 5 miles. It was great. I felt energetic. Exercise is really good for you and I.

Soon after I began my photography education at CDIA, I was in a horrible car accident. It left me sitting in a wheelchair and my life as I new it was put on hold. My world came crashing down along with my dreams of becoming a Photographer.

This is the last image I took before that accident.......
However If you know me at all you'd know how determined I am. Well....That determination paid off. I fought to get out of the wheel chair and after a ton of Physical Therapy, I picked up my camera again. I went right back to school and finished my education.

All the while in my heart I wanted to walk to the Trail, but I physically could NOT bring myself to do it. I would drive by and look at it, only wishing I could walk it. Then, thinking of all the things that could go wrong, I would push the desire aside.
Of course still capturing the natural beauty.....

After realizing that life is too short to NOT do the things that you really want to do. I decided to try to get back on the trail this spring. I invited my husband to join me. (that way if I fell along the way he could just carry me back ;) I set a goal for myself and started slowly. At first just 20 min and then 50, until I finally worked my way up to the 1 and 1/2 hours it takes me to walk the 5 miles. I am so happy that I was able to do it, and feel like myself again. If you think I was proud of myself for making through school after the whole ordeal, you should see how proud of myself I am now after THIS achievement.

A Special Thanks to my Husband who pushed and pulled me on that Trail, when I thought I couldn't make it.

I stand by this.....

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Everybody's Fine.....

Doesn't it make you wonder if people are telling you the truth when you ask how they are doing? You know, when you ask... "So, how are things?" they say Everything is fine......When asked about our families we say Everybody's fine or they're good.

We tell people what they want to hear. Is it because people think everyone else's life is Perfect? I think I am a bit of a realist...and most times when my friends ask how are things...I don't usually say Everthing's fine.....I usually talk a little bit about the events in my life =) Which is NOT perfect by the way...

Today I realized it's just what people say, some people don't even really want to know.
It's just what we say.

I watched a Movie today that impacted me in such a way that I can't really describe yet....I guess I still have to think about it.......

Anyway, while this post has Nothing to do with this Image, someone once told me a Blog Post is Always better with an Image.

This Image was taken at sunrise on Daytona Beach in Florida. While I didn't like Florida to live. I did appreciate the beauty of the beaches......
