The Beauty of Transition

We Delight in the Beauty of the Butterfly...But rarely do we admit the Changes it has gone through to acheive that Beauty  ~ Maya Angelou

I was finishing up a Photo Shoot and just like that, as if waiting for me to capture it's beauty, it just sat there. Even as I got closer it just fluttered it's wings, but remained close.

Life is full of Changes...We Evolve...We Grow...We Learn. Sometimes during that process we wonder if we will ever make it through the transition. Then one day, that which was once a caterpillar, turns into a beautiful Butterfly and off it flies like it always believed it could.  Happy Tuesday ♥️

Trainer Coach Fighter...

All Good words to describe this young man that I had the honor of photographing this weekend. He is a Boxer and MMA fighter. He also used to coach my baby way back when I was crazy enough to let him fight. Yikes!!  I was merely assisting. When you are assisting there is not nearly as much pressure....Come on you know it's True..... it happens to all of us. We are focused on making our clients happy and giving them what they want, that we put a whole lot of pressure on ourselves.  Well all things considered I was very happy with the images I managed to get.

Best of Luck in all of your endeavors Matt!! It was a true pleasure :)

Seniors & Great Clients

The Best Kind of Clients are the ones that have 100% faith in you. As a photographer, as an artist, as a friend. They believe in your loyalty, that you will produce the best kind of photos for them. They aren't second guessing or looking for pricing. They know YOU have what they need.

Truth is you always produce exactly that.

Meet Josh he is a senior at Milford High School...He plays Soccer and Volleyball. We captured these great images for him, not for the year book, but for him to look back and remember his senior year. Yes we captured many option for him to submit for the year book, but these are for the archives of LIFE.

How Quickly They Grow

I find it a little incredible how quickly the time passes and life changes. This is My Baby, yes you heard that right. He is only 14 and the last of my 3 kids under my roof. I must say it's been quite the adventure with him. We have had many ups and downs. We went from a family of five, to just the two of us drastically, when he was only 9. Kids are resilient.  I must say I am very proud of the man he is becoming even without having his father in his life.  He is a Freshman and a very dedicated football player. He is Strong and I admire him for that.

I am by no means perfect, but I do my very best. I have learned some things along the way. A very good example was this long hair fad that is happening with these teenagers today. It's not how I imagined him when he was grown. I fought it, I cried, I didn't want it, but in the end I gave in. (I know I know worst thing ever) But let me tell you I ended up at a training at work, go figure...that really put the situation into perspective. I still don't love it, but I can accept it and I think he's handsome..Crazy Hair and all. At the end of the day our job as parents is to care for them protect them and guide them in the right direction. They will become whoever they choose to BE.

I want him to know how much I love him and that I Will always be here for him. He is such a grown young man...yes folks that is facial hair ;) he's gonna grow a beard too.

Life gets busy with a full-time job, Football Mom duties, and trying to Live not just Survive...therefore the Lack of Blogposts. I'm Sorryish ;) Happy Sunday!!!

Fairy Tales & Dreams Come True....

It's exactly this type of image that makes me believe that dreams do come true....

We grow up reading fairy tales and dreaming that one day we can be a princess. For this young lady her dream came true. She is on a path to being all grown up. She was on her way to celebrate her 15th Birthday & was allowed to be princess for the day.  I love this image. I feel like it could be amongst the pages of a story book. I hope that path that she is along brings her Health, Happiness and lots of Love.

Somedays life can be hard and our dreams can be very distant,  but I have to believe that we can achieve anything we set our hearts on. So go ahead close your eyes and dream a little.

Happy Thursday!!!

Exploring Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford CT

It's funny how a tragedy can flip your life upside down. It's been a very hard year for me with a lot of losses.  I won't get too deep since I am still very emotional about it. However I will say this it has made me realize so many things. One of the things that it has made very clear is that everything can change in A HEARTBEAT, ONE SECOND or A BLINK OF AN EYE. That person you took for granted that would ALWAYS be there is gone, That one person you depended on with your life is Gone, The lifelong friend that promised to walk with you until you were old and grey GONE.  As I look forward now, I am going to be very selective with my Time seeing as it can expire at any given moment. The things of this world will not go with me when I go. I will only take with me the wonderful things I experienced and the memories made along the way. This is why I am welcoming New Ideas, New Opportunities, and New Adventures in my Life.

People will forget what you said, People will forget what you did, But they will never forget how you made them FEEL. ~ Maya Angelou
