The Visit =)

It doesn't happen very often, but when it does...boy am I happy =)  AVisit from my Oldest Son, My first born, Mr. Hard to get ;)

Having children so spread apart in ages, well let's just say I wouldn't reccomend it.  If you still have a chance, have them as close together as possible,  So this doesn't happen to you!!

I am most happy to get a few pics with all of them TOGETHER!!! Of Course, this is not the easiest of Tasks, Since they just Love to clown around.

I would Love to have one where I would be included with them but, well....That doesn't happen very often either.

I have no choice but to be satisfied with these select few ;)

Enjoy!!!

Luis you REALLY need to visit more often!!!  <3 Mami

LOVE is...

Love Can be described in as many ways as there are human beings. Everyone has their own opinion as to what love is.   In an effort to sort some things out I asked the question out loud...

Someone asked me if it was a contest, so they may get inspired and I was all for it.  So, I said sure...and offered a 5X7 print...of anything in my database :)  I apologize if anyone thought I was offering a Photo Session.  I recieved a lot of answers, but none that really struck me, so I let the contest run a few more days.

I knew  a lot of my friends would say that GOD is Love but I already knew that.....but I was looking for more of a natural description.  The most common answers were selflessness, peace, commitment.

The winner of the 5X7 print has asked to remain anonymous, but I have permission to share her response.

It was as follows.....

  • Loyalty
 Faithfulness to commitments and/or obligations
  • hOnor
Honesty, Fairness, and Integrity in one's beliefs and Actions
  • Virtue
Moral excellence, Goodness and Righteousness
  • Eternal
Without begining or end....Lasting forever

In my opinion her answer was a very well thought out and prize worthy ;)

I found that the dictionary description was a little less than satisfying. Here's what the Dictionary had to say.....
  1. an intense feeling of deep affection
  2. a deep romantic or sexual attachment to someone
There were tons of quotes about the meaning of Love...which goes along with my theory that everyone has a different description...

This one held my interest because and I don't think most people realize that LOVE has no guarantees.

Love means to commit yourself without guarantee. ~ Anne Campbell

So after seeing all of the answers and thinking them through myself. I realized that the dictionary description made sense after all....Love is...hard to describe because it's a FEELING and everyone FEELS differently ;)

*sigh*  I Love LOVE :)

A Mother's Love

Not many things can be compared to a Mother's Love.  I really believe that the only thing greater than a Mother's Love is the Love of God.

As moms the responsibilities are endless. We have to be teachers, nurses, housekeepers, cooks, chauffeurs, counselors, friends, peacemakers and this list could go on forever.... But yet, we always find the energy and desire to be all those things. It all comes so natural. Sometimes we even do UNnatural things to protect them like run into the middle of the road without looking just to protect a little one. (true story ;)

They grow up and we eventually have to let go. We still care, worry and pray that our children make good decisions. All we can do when they are gone is pray God's blessings over them and let God do the rest. Hoping all the while that what you taught them while you had them stays with them.  Not the easiest task for a Mother but with God all things are possible.

In Honor of Mother's Day I have gone back through my files to find some mommies to share with you.   It's my way of wishing every Mother out there a Wonderful Mother's day!!

I personally don't get the opportunity to get many pictures taken of me with my kids. (I'm usually the one taking the pictures) Being that my oldest is 20 and no longer lives at home, I don't have a picture with all 3 of my kids :- /  The one below of me and my two younger children was taken by Anne Ruthmann Photography.
However, on the rare occasions he makes an appearance I do get a photo even if it's with my phone ;)

I Love Being Their Mother!!!  It's the Best Job in this World :)

The Branding Journey, Part 2....

I just wanted to follow up on the previous blogpost about My branding Journey that I wrote here and here.  Like I mentioned before The Task of finding a designer has not been the easiest.

With many thanks to my friend Debbie Davis of Jared and Debbie Photography for the referral, it was all made possible and within budget. =)

I put in my request and worked with several designers that had very different styles of working.  Some I knew right away I couldn't get what I needed, but there were 2 that I really worked with in depth. While both did an amazing job I could only use one. I had to choose.  The choice however was not just the logo design itself it was more about the whole branding experience.  It was more about how I wanted to be looked at, and perceived, an online presence, if you will.

My Choice came from Mandolin Productions....Manda is from Enterprise, Alabama and she does an amazing job on Design as well as Fabulous Photography...I really enjoyed my time working with her.

Without further ado, I present to you....
